They would win easily. First they would destroy the North in a big battle in Virginia then advance towards DC. The North would make a last ditch effort to save DC and would lose badly again.

The South wins. Slavery ends in the south in 1885 instead of 1865 but the South has its own country.

100 AKs doesn’t make much of a difference. They’d run out of ammunition quicker than you’d think - even with a million rounds.
I was in infantry. '69-'70-'71

This man is right.

I mean, strategically located with the percentage of rounds to accomplish the task and enough protection? Who knows? but highly unlikely.

Probably with 50.
I always think about going back in time and giving an ancient civilization a modern weapon. Hypothetically if the weapon would never break down and they had enough ammo for a few years.
Say it was given to the Germanic tribes or Hannibal during the Punic wars.

Depends on whether they're honest-to-God Warsaw Pact AKs or Century / Palmetto State knock-offs.

The war is still goin on brother, why would you let the north decide when its over just because some northern liberal pussy named Roberto Lee surrendered?

Now that we have a good southern boy like Trump in office its only a matter of time until we take back what is rightfully ours

Doubtful that had the south been that far advanced technologically in the era that there would have been a war to begin with. If you can design and build an AK and ammo for it from scratch without having seen something somewhat similar beforehand it is unlikely that you would not have far better technology than an AK.....

They would have won Gettysburg with one P-47 Thunderbolt.

That was also the first use of the gatling gun. It was largely ineffective due to the trench warfare.

He did win every battle on the Italian peninsula.

Whats your point?

How many tribes or Roman allies on the peninsula would have forgotten their loyalty to Rome and joined Carthage?

Right. Its pretty fun to contemplate stuff like modern communications or observation equipment being lifted to one side.

The South would have been better off with 100 combines/modern tractors/farm implements. Wouldn’t fricking need slaves or a war.

MY time travel scenario involves 100 seal team members carrying all the weapons etc. they can carry . My time machine will carry me, 4 docs, and 100 seal team members and all the supplies they can lift off the ground for 30 seconds. Each member would be maxed out with supplies.

Personnel would include10 snipers, 8 drone operators, 8 javelin operators, and the remainder with the newest rifle they choose to carry. include night vision. I will research the mortar team issue, but weight is a factor.

Since the mini ball was responsible for 90% of casualties, the enemy soldiers will be the main targets, not officers or artillery.

As everyone knows, no wmd's are allowed in time travel.
