What makes you think that St George wants smoking in it's casinos?

True, but 2/3 of Baton Rouge's casinos are complete dumps.

A lot of bars in northern WI have ignored the statewide ban since it went in back around 2010 and the law doesn't enforce it. They know where their bread is buttered.
There was a very noticeable decline in bar patronage in my area after the law went in.

L'auberge just built a section specifically as an answer to the smoking ban:

Expanding over 3,000 square feet, come play at L’Auberge’s new smoke-friendly, open air gaming and smoking terrace featuring over 120 slot machines, including video and reel, classic and premium games and video poker. The smoking veranda also includes two 65” TV screens, six industrial size ceiling fans and gas fired radiant heaters to keep you comfortable year round. Plus, enjoy sweeping views of the Mississippi River while you play!

Yeah I've seen it and it looks nice
They still have to shut it down everytime it starts to sprinkle, which happens often in southern Louisiana

I didn’t realize they de-stanked the casinos. Might actually try it now. Thanks

They didn't declare themselves part of Baton Rouge, they were annexed in to the city
And St. George wants to say they aren't part of the city right? Why can't L'auberge say that too?

still trying to figure out why you think St. George would lift the ban?

My friend, I responded to your question and you responded back.
If I didn't provide an adequate answer why didn't you just say so?
I don't understand this "I GOTCHA" post.

I said revenues not attendance.
Why are you confusing the two
People still went to the casinos but didn't gamble? This is very confusing.

St George isn't part of the city. It is an unincorporated portion of the parish. L'auberge IS part of the city.

What? I'vee said nothing but questions.
Literally my first post was the question is if there is a way for L'auberge to join a newly created St. George for the purpose of avoiding the smoking ban.
Let me clarify for you and anyone else thinking I'm trying to make a statement.
I AM IGNORANT ON THIS SUBJECT AND WOULD LIKE SOME INFORMATION

Not every costumer spends the same amount of money at a store.
Let us say you and I are the only 2 costumers at a restaurant. Your bill is $80 and mine is $20. For whatever reason, I leave and never come back.
Tell me what percentage of their customers they lost and what percentage of their income they lost.
PS this PSAT lesson is free

And then? Did they bounce back or not? My bet is that a good chunk of that 20% swore off ever going back, made it a month or two and found themselves right back at the table.
