Are we talking about OT men here? Pshaw, all of us could kill a full grown Grizzly with our bare hands. Hell , one time I was out swimming in the ocean and a dolphin had to save a Great White from ME!!

Mountain lions, bears, boars, wolves, cougars (of the animal variety) are all on my list of animals that I should try not to fight with my barr hands.

Yes but the average person would be seriously damaged and/or maybe bleed out.
Wild cats are no joke. Really animals in general when compared to a human

You have to grab it by the scruff. Establish dominance and then choke it.

Seriously. I was thinking maybe if you got lucky and got the perfect choke hold and had a shot of snapping its neck, then maybe. But likely it would rip you up with its claws before. Trying to put heartworm medicine on a tiny cat's neck is hard enough, and you realize how strong they are. Granted, you aren't trying to kill it when you do though.

That's what I'm thinking too. Maybe if you got your hands around its throat, but then you'd have to account for the hind legs.
Hands around its throat? It's claws would be eating you up if you grabbed it by its throat. When cats are threatened they drop to their backs and kick their legs up with their claws extended.
The skin and muscle on your arms would look like spaghetti just hanging there.

Can a mountain lion take a punch?
Posted on 10/10/17 at 1:33 pm to Pecker
I'd knock that thing out with one punch.....it's a cat for Christ's sake.

A guy I used to know went around snapping pitbulls necks. He was eventually caught and spent a year in juvie. I'm guessing it would be the same thing as killing a bobcat

You would get clawed up pretty good but get it on the ground and put a knee on its throat to choke it out and thumbs in his eye sockets just to add to its pain.

Bobcats are pretty small, I'm not going to say that an average person could take one, but an average adult male should be able to.

That cat would rip your face off and leave you bleeding out. I'll add that non-domesticated animals are stout af. A wolf =/= a dog. Thick bones. Thick skulls. Incredibly muscular and built to survive. This isn't like a big house cat.

You have to hit it first

Okay fine. So get ahold of its tail and helicopter it against a hard surface?
Bobcats are also only around 20 pounds like the raccoon, but their dexterity, aggression, and cunning would be vastly superior to a raccoon's.
If the bobcat is out to kill, I'm not so sure a human could win.

I don't think so. Too fast. Too many claws and teeth. You'd let go from the pain or it would shake loose from you.
I've seen large house cats do a number on people trying to constrain them. Those cats have nothing on a bobcat.

Glorified Pinto, it's more likely that a man could GET killed in one rather than kill it.

Posted on 10/10/17 at 1:36 pm to StringedInstruments
Maybe - but I'm sure not volunteering to find out.

What a shithead. While the OT likes to paint all pitbulls as vicious monsters ready to attack at all times, the guy you knew was probably walking up to chilled out dogs and attacking them before they knew what was going on.
I'm talking about a mano a mano battle with a bobcat fully aware of the stakes.

LOL that some of you are serious. Chuck Norris in his hey day wouldn't have kicked the shite out of a full grown bobcat.

Shredded skin and flesh aside, the bobcat could do some potentially fatal damage if it gets its hind legs to the person’s abdomen or it’s teeth to the neck. The human has no natural weapons other than manual dexterity and blunt force.
