The store discontinued it or they are no longer making it?

I’m not sure. But even the quart bottles were marked down too.

They had a schumacher farm and ranch battery charger in the discontinued package for below half price too. Regular $189. Got it for $89. And it is a heavy charger.

You can store it next to your toilet paper supply

It was discontinued. They aren’t going to re-order it. They marked it down to move it quickly. I wasn’t buying something they would have trouble restocking.

And I’ve got 3 vehicles that use this grade oil.

A lawsuit a few years ago diluted the meaning of "synthetic oil" considerably.

It was more than a few years ago and it was over a meaningless distinction between two groups of synthetic base stocks.

I don't care what they call it, Schumacher chargers are garbage. I just ordered an Associated 6010B, my nearly 30 year old dumb-type Sears Diehard finally died.

If it's refined from crude oil, I don't see how something can honestly be called "synthetic." Say it's really good oil that meets Porsche standards or something.

I use Group III base stock oil, but I also don't see why US product labeling requirements have to be so lax. You see this in all sorts of industries.

My 6 year old Die Hard crapped out so I had to buy a new one.

If you are synthesizing molecules that aren't found in nature then it's synthetic no matter the source material. Nylon is a synthetic fabric made from hydrocarbons.

Pennzoil makes oils for F1 cars using Group III/IV, if Group III can survive those conditions then it will be just fine for anything on the street.

Yeah I've never been a believer in the 10k intervals. I also change at 5k even on synthetic 0w20. I do change the filter every other change on my newer vehicles, saves a quart or so and some time.

I go 12 to 15k intervals but I'm putting that on the car in 3 months. My last car had the timing chain jump at 300k. Current is at 195k and is still running strong
