I live in Chattanooga where this guy bought all that shite. There’s a shortage of everything right now. I think the guy is a moron but Amazon isn’t making this better by banning him for selling it at an “unfair” price, which doesn’t even make sense right now. Let him sell it.

They need to stop others from following suit in the pursuit of profits in this situation and others.

They or someone should offer to buy it back for some amount, maybe give him a little profit, but not enough to be worth the effort. Then help distribute to healthcare workers or something like that

It's the straw men you switched the discussion to be about... but still ended up failing. Keep trying.

Is price gouging not a discussion of microeconomics? Do you know what that is?

How do you appropriately prepare for something that all leading experts admit they dont understand well?

how noble of them to deny people sanitizing products during a viral outbreak in order to make an example out of him. Thank you Amazon for looking out for us

It sounds terrible on the surface but this is a good thing. The increased prices incentive others to sell/produce more hand sanitizer, therefore, creating a safer society. Eventually, the prices will come back down as more sanitizer is in the market.

And then you have an oversupply. That's a different kind of stress, and it also has negative affects on the supply chain.

So Amazon is keeping us from buying hand sanitizer? They should be sued.

Have enough TP, hand cleaner, toothpaste, food to last a few weeks in case of storm, war, loss of grid, epidemic"

Some of y'all act like being prepared for a couple of weeks is illegal or some shite.

Preparing for a virus is no different than preparing for any disease of disaster.

.

By denying profiteers they protect the larger portion of supply for the general public.

Pretty basic. Someone should take it off his hands and get it to people but amazon cant let their platform become a hotbed for this activity

This thing is unprecedented. Now how the frick are you to know how to prepare for something that hasn’t happened since the 50’s? Generations ago.

Given that nobody knows how long this pandemic will last or where it will pop up next, how do you have a clue how many supplies you need?

In 2005 Louisiana learned this shite happens frequently. Having a few weeks supply should be the norm.

What makes you think preparing for a disease is any different than any other disaster? Do you stockpile meds?
