Has anyone said why we aren't following the South Korea model more closely?
Increase testing, quarantine exposures and symptoms along with older, underlying condition people?
Starting to feel like this is over the top reading all the economic data.

There are disposable gowns on amazon too -- I know no one should have to buy their own but .... maybe pass on to your purchasing people?? They should be allowed to blow the budget and just find the supplies.

First American case was back in January. January 19th, and he was symptomatic for four days prior.

First of all your comment about AIDS has to be complete bullshite. But if you're looking strictly at deaths as a metric you're off base. COVID is hyper contagious and yes, while, you're statistically unlikely to die from it, it's sending more people to the hospital for necessary treatment - people who won't die but need treatment - than the system can handle right now. There's a lot of very verifiable information out there about the logistical nightmare hospitals and clinics are in right now. So if youre looking at this strictly from the perspective of "how many people will die" you're being obtuse.

We average about 20 American AIDS deaths every day.
Overwhelming the healthcare system is certainly a concern, but at what cost are we doing this? And we can’t possibly quantify how effective these measures are.
Our economy is in shambles right now. People are losing their savings, their jobs. Children are being held out of school. All of this for a virus which has killed less than 11,000 people since November?

I've said the same. If there were credible experts out there saying there is nothing to worry about, I'm willing to listen. However, it seems people don't like to be inconvenienced so they refuse to look forward to where this shite is heading.

Good god, NOLA news stations are now doing a countdown on the number of available hospital beds in the region. That's borderline irresponsible.
