Now the experts are backtracking, saying death rate may be HALF initial estimates. Shocker

We have been saying here that the death rate is way over estimated, especially in USA. South Korea always made most sense to me given their testing. What percentage did the experts just say?

To sum up the situation. We have a new strain of coronavirus that is probably going to end up with a death rate of below 1%, and that almost exclusively kills only the elderly and or sick.
President Trump announced today that we have an existing drug, already proven to be safe, that is an effective treatment for the virus.

And yet, we are still acting as if the world is going to end.

Wtf is going on.

It has always been about possibly having too many patients in ICU that need too many vents for over 2 weeks or so each.

Anyways... as there are rules on the forum prohibiting advertising, I'll just say that a friend-of-a-friend has let me know that there are food wholesalers out there who are stuck with an inordinate supply of meat/seafood/fruit/etc. that they would otherwise be selling to restaurants that are now closed/limited service. If people are still having issues securing such things from the grocery, check with some regional/local wholesalers who are willing to deliver stuff to your house.

Easily. We’re not even close to testing all relevant subjects for an accurate assessment. But of course THINK OF YOUR GRANDPARENTS AND STAY HOME FOR ANOTHER 3 MONTHS

Trump promised Newsom he would get us swabs. Our numbers should remain low because we aren't the only hospital out of testing swabs No news on more PPE. I think this shortage could last a while. Hoping we don't have a high number of healthcare workers sick and calling out. Our ICU is full but it pretty much stays that way. The weather here was beautiful so our facility was able to get beds moved to our temp ICU and work done on that front. We had a 69y/o fly after he was extubated which is good news.

Its not pretty but its working.

Good news.

Side note -- have you seen vent patients face down?? In this link below they show that .. and I've seen a video from Italy I think that said that. Narrator for the Italy video said something about it helps with air flow?? BUT there's a RT on here somewhere that says he's never ever heard of that.

Thoughts?

scroll down .. guy is face down
