Doesn't say anything else about him for all we know he could have asthma or a weak immune system

I'm more curious about a spreadsheet showing OT posters who have gotten the virus, survived, needed critical care, died or only had mild symptoms and those that haven't gotten it at all.
Do it by board.
350 OTers have survived the virus.
28 members of Saints Talk have it, with 3 hospitalized.

Because without knowing if that 40 year old doctor has underlying health problems, that’s a good bit younger than the 80’s crowd everyone keeps sourcing to keep panic down and now he’s in ICU.

Vegas closed down for 8 weeks is ballgame for Nevada's economy. West Virginia status without em.

You need to factor inflation into your equation. Still got a long ways to go tho.

Stop with this bullshite. You’ve been in here for a long time saying this is just the flu and comparing it to H1N1 which downplays the entire problem.
We don’t need people to panic. We need people to follow instructions. Spreading false narratives doesn’t help. It leads to large groups partying for St. Patrick’s day because people aren’t taking this seriously. So don’t tell us you know it’s a big deal.

Are the same people that stocked up on 32 years worth of toilet paper the same people who packed themselves into an Irish pub down my street like sardines for St. Patricia Day celebrations this weekend?

Well it’s not really that different. People have just been seeing the death data without context.
The article says he’s critical but stable. Anecdotal stories from Italy and France say it’s not rare for healthy people in their 30’s and 40’s, even 20’s, to need ICU care. It’s not common but it’s not rare. Now they almost always survive, but they need intensive care. But they contribute to taking up valuable ICU beds and ventilators....eventually leading to older patients dying due to lack of care

Florida’s numbers have double since yesterday. When I went to bed last night the confirmed cases were in the upper 60’s. It’s at 149 now, and growing...

Well, they're not really doing anything for the over 65 with comorbidities over there, either. That sort of ends the possibility of a positive outcome there.
That's not happening here, at least not yet.

Really, because if you have been following this thread people of all ages are getting sick.
It is not that wild a frontline healthcare worker catch a virus.
The "wild" would be if the doctor is completely healthy and then passed away from C19. That has not happened yet, so the "wild" is more of the attention seeking of this thread.

Nobody is surprised by this... Everyone has said, the more testing that is done, the more cases will be diagnosed and subsequently drive down the mortality rate.

Yes, this is not all rapid spread. This is testing catching up with actual case load. Don’t panic. Most people here predicted this weeks ago once we started testing.

Which means people like me with a compromised immune system are screwed

That is something special coming from some here.

That is very true. They are hard to find though with all the false and incomplete information being floated in this thread.
Are the Chinese still burning the tens of thousands of bodies stacking up?
Make a new thread with all the rules, let Chicken sticky that and have a mod update it as appropiate. The rest of this thread needs to be burnt as it has done more harm than good.
