Why would it not be? If you’re arguing that every positive test, even from the same individual, is counted as a unique one, that would have been the case when the rate was lower, too. It doesn’t change anything.

There have just been many issues regarding the counting of positive and negative test that makes the data difficult to trust

I’m not saying it’s wrong or significantly wrong but at this point I don’t take it as the word of God either

No data on something like this will ever be perfect, but I would wager that the numbers are close. People who don’t want to believe them will find their reasons, but I don’t think that’s going to be a fruitful effort.

Eventually they'll be close, but the real time data and its usage as far as policy is concerned leaves a lot to be desired.

You legit have labs reporting 100% testing in multiple states. If you're not dumping negative test counts at the same rate as positive test counts, you're going to skew positivity rate.

Florida initially stated that that 30+% of children were testing positive, but the number was actually 13%.

Positivity rate increases when you start contact tracing and repeat testing of minor cases to return to work, etc.

Before the large increase in testing capacity there was basically no contact tracing and little repeat testing unless you were in the hospital so that we could preserve testing capacity.

Herman Cain has died from Covid. Attended Trump rally in Tulsa and tweeted about people being fed up wearing masks.

Did not wear a mask at the rally.

He didn’t post a single opinion and used no explanation points or other emotional language

Sounds like you are projecting your frustrations a bit.

You said he seemed pumped about it, and that it made his day.

He did not post anything to insinuate either of those things.

You're obviously not an Alanis Morisette fan.

Hey friends. I’m back.

Just an update. Remember when I tested positive back in March? Got tested for antibodies yesterday (IgG) and it’s was negative. Not surprised because that’s a story I’ve heard before.

So a false positive or a false negative?

I was definitely sick in March. But it’s likely the antibodies are gone by now so it’s possible and likely that both worked correctly.

Did you do a detailed test that shows antibody levels, or the one that is simply added to control kit and reads as Positive/negative?

Just a funny observation.

There is a walk in clinic that does testing across the street from my work. Every morning there are about 30 guys just hanging out with each other (no one looks sick), in their work uniforms, waiting to be tested before they go to work.

Can you describe your symptoms in March?

At this point I don’t think we can exclude the possibility that the antibody tests have dramatically Underestimated the number of infections.

we could actually be nearing herd immunity and the studies of T cells being present in 70% of patients could be an indicator of that. Once antibodies fall below detectable levels the only evidence of previous infection would be T cells.
