I was talking with a local cop once. Good guy. He was a detective and he said they knew that a suspect had drugs located in discrete places (he had a witness) and he couldn't do a damn thing about it because it was illegal so he let them go.

Yeah, it was hard to look at which is why I didn't include the sleuth results in the OP.

The one in New Mexico was actually worse. They probed the shite out of that guy. I think every non-cop involved got fired though. They even got rid of the judge that signed off on the warrant, from what I recall.

I think I remember reading about that one too. Hopefully those were the only 2 times that ever happened.

The hospital is going to get sued as well. It's crazy to think that there are doctors that are this dumb and reckless.
No shite. Under no circumstance would I have consented to performing those procedures.

The doctor is fricked. Plain and simple.

I didn't read the article, but is this a small town?

At one point she probably stopped complaint and started counting the dollars in her head. All those guys are gonna get fired and sued. Chick is about to be rich.

fricked up thing is unless the Dr. is criminally liable all a suit can amass is the max tort in that state. I'm not even positive this is a medical negligence case. Doc could get off with zero liability.

Main thing is 4th amendment was violated. You can be detained if there is reason to suspect someone but only as long as you are making progress towards squiring probable cause. Every jurisdiction and department is different but in this case, should have let her go pretty quickly.

Read this as Cops sexually assault one another

I am disappointed.

And a bit envious.

And she appears to have a substance abuse problem with Booze and/or Alcohol
And?

That has absolutely zero to do with how badly they violated her rights.

And I use that word "rights" in the proper context, as in, they violated her constitutional rights.

I'm uncertain if they did in this case. She had a prior history of suspect behavior. I don't have a problem with what they did to her.
