Cops Arrest Woman Waving a Magnum in Cops Face

St. Lucie County sheriff’s deputies on March 11 encountered Melissa Kelly, 37, while assisting deputies from Indian River County on a case in the 6900 block of Bayard Road in Fort Pierce.
Kelly addressed a St. Lucie deputy by name before swearing at him and going in her house.
One deputy reported he thought Kelly grabbed a gun.
Deputies reported Kelly was at a large front window. Part of her body was visible, but not her hands.
Deputies placed her at gunpoint until determining she didn’t have a weapon in her hands.
Rather than brandishing a Magnum firearm, investigators say she was holding a Magnum condom.
The deputy reported Kelly “confronted me aggressively and came within inches from my face holding a condom and waving it at me.”
“She then started yelling and screaming towards me, stating, ‘Here try this on for size,’ referring to the Magnum condom she was holding in my face,” an affidavit states.
Kelly was arrested on charges including breach of peace and resisting arrest without violence.
