This is basically the TM case on video.
Someone needs to call Al Sharpton. He must have missed this one.

you saying you have to be able to physically restrain every single person in the world in 1 on 1 comabt in order to be a cop?
I'm saying you shouldn't be getting your arse kicked by the town drunk. You should be be able to restrain him without killing him.

No shite. If the town drunk does happen to overpower you, just hand him your pistol and let him kill you. Derp.

They guy was bashing the cops head, so I understand the shooting. I think it's justified. Probably shouldn't have gotten to that point though.

I said it escalated the resistance into a full fledged fight.
I don't believe he was attempting to throw a knee to the head. I could be wrong but it looked like he was trying to gain arm control and threw his knee around the subjects head. He probably would have been better off if he would have delivered a few hard knees.

That moose got what he deserved too

Your credibility is eroding quickly.

I agree it is a justified killing, however I do find it concerning that the cop was unable to defend himself without killing the guy.

No was getting the shite beaten out of him because he couldn't defend himself. Which resulted in him shooting the guy. If he was able to defend himself he wouldn't have needed to shoot the guy.

Many on this board would be all for having one cop in the world...for about 10 minutes.

I mean good God, i was bashing the hell out of the cops in the 5 vs 1 thread because that was wrong. But if i am going to be objective this cop here did nothing wrong, and to be honest looked like he really didnt want it to escalate at all when he is pleading for the civilian to help him. We are learning who the hacks are in this thread

Do you blame the cop for that?

He shares some of the blame. He should be able to handle drunks without killing them.

quote:Again we are not talking about the heavyweight champion of the world. A cop should be able to defend himself against an off duty fireman long enough for backup to come.
So if a guy can beat up a cop then he can do whatever he wants?

Like every drunk is equal? You serious?
Just wondering, have you ever tried to subdue and handcuff an intoxicated felon alone?
Posted on 2/28/14 at 1:34 pm to Sevendust912
quote:I was on your side yesterday but you are being completely unrealistic. There is absolutely no feasable way to make this possible. This cop seemed to be in good shape, and he was using his training to try and subdue the individual. He just happened to ,run into someone bigger and stronger. It happens, there is no way to prevent this

Maybe some depts should look at policy. Any resistance, hold off for backup. It's not hard to know who the guy is, he's not going far.
