(If you have a better word for coonasses, I’ll break you off some of the profit)

It makes perfect sense. If you think someone is a coonass and they aren't catholic then you are wrong about thinking that he is a coonass in the first place. That's really a Baptist redneck. It has to do with everyone from out of state thinking that all Louisianians are Cajun, and there really being that cultural divide between North and South Louisiana with North Louisiana actually being Methodist/Baptist redneck.
