be passed along to the end consumer, like all tariffs do... sure, you have a choice when it comes to discretionary spending, but trust me if and when these go into action, if you think you will be immune to the effects, i hate to be the bearer of bad news, but...

not sure why so angry, but simmer down... maybe this isn't the place for you... it's a simple discussion, no need to be a keyboard hero, chief...

i'm not sure how much the tariffs will play into farming, but the cutting of the subsidies that they receive could play a role

that's the goal, and i'm all for it... but i also know it will end up costing more b/c it's American... higher wages for workers, higher cost of good made/built/picked/etc from those workers... it's a give and take, so as long as you know that going into it, all is well

like i said IF they go into efffect... the way the administration in office now likes to bark more than bite, it may or may not happen... i'm just saying that IF it does, it will be felt by the consumer, if you choose to buy the item that has a tariff on it... that's how tariffs work

i'm not sure why you are so up in arms about it... i didn't take any swipes at anyone you may really like, i didn't disparage your guy, i didn't do any of that... i'm just discussing the issue at hand... you can make personal and shite if you want, it's a bad look for you, but do you... i'd rather just stick to the topic at hand, but do you

The irony is that it's actually not all that hard to buy American now. (Or, at very least, stuff from other countries that are competing on equal footing in terms of paying labor decent wages).

Yet, most of the people complaining about it drive right by locally owned shops selling American made stuff to Costco, Walmart etc and load up on Chinese junk. Even those that could well afford to buy better quality clothes, food, tools etc. . .

I guess it takes the government holding their hand to change.

Why can't we just let people choose to buy American if they want to save American jobs? Why do we have to force it on them?

“Bottom line, persistent inflation is apparent even before tariffs but taking some of the healthcare components that flow into PCE and that were benign is why bonds are rallying,” said Peter Boockvar, chief investment officer at Bleakley Financial Group.
