Because Gruber was right, now matter how hard some of us want it to not be so or fix it.

That's why.

Because people like me like to pretend that Yoga Girl is real, and try to get through to her.

(Really I still believe she is Zach's alter)

If you're late, let me summarize where we are:
1) The moon shots and landings were Hollywood productions
2) Three mile island occurred, but it just appeared from nowhere.
3) A fan was used on the moon to make the flag wave.
4) We're going to Mars in 2037.
5) There's one more, but I already forgot...OH, there's a moon rock in a museum, but it's fake.

The only reason I read more of this thread than I should have is because yoga started posting.

If you're lucky, maybe she'll invite you over for one of her SMU football game parties?

The main reason is to more fully explore the creation of the solar system. Another thing the challenge did was force us to be inventive and creative, crack the problems preventing us from living and working in space. You see the potential value of that, going forward, I would assume? Plus, modern electronics, advanced materials, fuel systems, satellite communications, portable computers - just a whole range of technologies were invented or rapidly advanced to meet the demands of placing human beings on the moon.

So, going and going back has some value, although I'll admit it is an expensive endeavor.

Conspiracy Theory: Did We Land on the Moon?

This aired on Fox like 15 years ago, and my roommate and I were obsessed with it. It was such an awesome show. It definitely brings up some interesting points, even if they can all be disputed obviously. It was just such a hilariously entertaining show from start to finish.

Every time a point would be made, they'd have Joe Blow listed as a "NASA Engineer" or whatever, and he'd just be like "We don't know, I can't answer that.."

It was hilarious. I actually downloaded it onto my computer years later just so I could have it, because I couldn't find it anywhere. I'm glad to know it's on Netflix now. May have to check it out for nostalgia purposes.

Perhaps to make the first landing, depending on what these investigations determine
