closer to 300 feet than a mile. looks to be maybe a 1400 foot stretch of road running from the end of the neighborhood to the camelia intersection, where the road currently ends. plus the property to the northwest of the road looks like it may be intended to serve as a neighborhood park with possible further residential development along the road. i could see upping the speed limit to 30 for that area, but 25 isn't altogether unreasonable.

if the police in the state consistently enforced the actual speed limit i would agree with you, but the way the laws are actually enforced is such that the de facto speed limit in most cases is 8-10 mph over the speed limit. $100 says you would bitch for getting a ticket for going 61 in a 60. literally every driver on the road violates the speed limit by a small amount from time to time.

Seriously? It's .2 miles from Camellia to the neighborhood and the van is in the middle of the friggin road. Stop bitching and drive safely.

Thanks, that shows it's about a mile of 4 lane boulevard without a house, park or anything. Speed van was parked on the side heading towards Camellia. I guess they are tring to protect the trees from anyone going over 25 mph.

Irrelevant. The limit is posted. Don't like the reason, take it up with the city to get it changed.

i laughed the last time i got a red light camera ticket in BR. threw that one away.

threw away another one for speeding in Laffy and another one for speeding in Zachary. none ever showed up on my credit score, also recently renewed my DL with no issues. i did have some debt collectors call me about the first one but i just stopped answering their calls and they quit after a while.

I had one in my subdivision. Some homeowners request them and get them put in their yards for a day or two

Any cop that writes a ticket for anything under 45 mph unless it's a school zone is a TPOS.

if you have a monster energy sticker on your back window, the speed van automatically tosses the ticket.

That is probably why you don't read very well. Van wasn't by the neighborhood. It was way past it on the side of the 4 lane.
