The people who work behind these counters are so slow and inefficient. I can’t believe this hasn’t happened already. Robots could easily do all these tasks.

How am I supposed to get drunk if I can only get two beers per transaction?

You’re blaming the wrong people. Blame the person who’s been standing in line for 20 minutes yet still had to look over the menu when they get up there and still don’t know what they want and how much things cost. They don’t even have their damn wallet out.

This, as someone who worked at a theater for nearly two years I can say without a doubt the reason for long arse lines are old people, Karens, and Indians who want 10 samosas

Agreed. All I need is a cup and the coke freestyle machine.

I recently shopped at an Amazon Go store. You swipe your phone/app when you enter. Pick out what you want, put it in a bag (available for purchase or BYO), and walk out. It charges the credit card on your Amazon account and sends you a receipt.

It has employees to stock shelves, answer questions, and check ID for booze, but otherwise it is DIY and works great.

The future is here.

I wish all concessions and restaurants would implement automated ordering. Just have a waitress bring out your meal. If you need any refills, etc...put it in the app and they come out.

Humans get orders wrong and it pisses me off.

Went to the one in Seattle. Not sure if there's another. It was amazing. Hopefully n a few years we see in on a larger scale.

Wait you guys still have concessions counters in theatres? lol that sucks. We just press a button and waiter comes out to give us whatever we want. Get with the times!

Went to a Chinatown restaurant where you ordered with an iPad like device. They still managed to mess up the order. Beef with Chinese broccoli ordered, but they just sent out broccoli. They quickly fixed it when pointed out, but come on guys.

Read about another place where you order by tablet, then pick up your order from an assigned window cubbie. No waitress. And some bars now let you serve yourself from taps, and you are charged by the ounce.

I’m still fond of the flag system at Pancho’s. Every place should have the flag to raise for service.
