Japan's seriously declining birth rate / population has resulted in a variety of new policies to encourage larger birth rates: a family with 3 children gets free education, for all , through college; flights within Japan the 3rd child flies free; and significant medical care cost reductions for the 3 kids.

We have that here, Pell grants, spirit airlines, medicaid

That will have to get figured out. My grandpa had 9 brothers and sisters because they farmed a lot of land in western Illinois in the early 1900s with no machinery and just 2 draft horses.

Now that can be farmed by 1 or 2 people.

The declining birthrates are of the producers

Actually maybe not true. The recent trend has some strange reductions in lower socio-economic births. It’s too soon to know if this is a blip, but black births per woman, which was 2.4 as recently as 1990, has dropped below the whites level of 1.57. Both are trending down, but the black birth rate is declining faster.

There is an emerging trend of higher income people having more children. This trend would need to persist for a few years for your statement to become false, though.
