I haven’t read all of the pages so this may have been said already. Document EVERY bank transaction you both do. It will come in very handy in court. Also, if you can, start the record button on your phone and slip it out of sight. That will definitely clear up the he said/she said stories that both of you have to tell. If legit, this is said. Good Luck.

Reassure her that they don't do that. The main objective should be your family then your finances. Keep your family together the best that you can. The marriage isn't over until you both decide it is, and it doesn't have to be if you can get her to get help. You may think that a divorce would be a possible clean break, but if she's got mental health issues, getting them resolved is the best course of action, because you are going to have to deal with her until your youngest is 18 years old anyway.

Yes, we had a mediation a few weeks back with one of the lady leaders and a licensed therapist who attends our church/

They recommended mental health therapy but it wasn’t received well-

After further reading it is one of the 3.

Psychotic break- and family history?
Drugs- she was owing people and she wanted to take the kids bc she knew who to look for, and explains why she doesn’t want you around her bags/vehicle. Drugs or paraphernalia is there. P.S. we ain’t talking about weed.
Cheating- that is always an option.

I'm almost certain she is psychotic. Whether it's drug induced psychosis is up for debate. Either way, antipsychotics are the best bet for her. If she goes to the hospital, they will test her for cocaine and other drugs that may cause psychosis.

I'm calling bull.

I’m pretty sure that if the cops get called for domestic violence then somebody is getting arrested and taken away. It was that way in GA…a friends wife was bipolar and went off on him. Neighbors called the cops and since he was the only one with visible injuries they hauled her off.

Great point - a divorce would just be a legal separation for me but i think have to deal w/ this for 14 more years.

To be honest, I’m not going to divorce because of all this/ i just want a healthy me- healthy her and healthy family

Her sister is bipolar - her mother is a hoarder so mental health is evident

Drugs/Cheating - again, ppl on here have said I’m naive/gullible etc but it could be one of these but when i say I’ve explored those two options as deep as i could - i have and haven’t seen it. I’m not blindly ignoring it either bc in Florida, substance abuse can be used to Baker Act

Cheating …possibly but no evidence yet

Same here- that’s how it happened.

My biggest regret was not pursuing a Baker Act when she was locked up and if I knew now, what i didn’t know then…damn, it would have been so easy for sure.

Now, if i did it - I’d have to lure her somewhere and tell the deputies where she is and they come and detain her, put her in handcuffs again and into the back of a cruiser.

I just am hoping the therapy route…at least that’s my prayer anyways

Call the police and explain the situation. They can involuntarily commit her and you can get your youngest back from someone who really, really shouldn't be with him or her. I'd also get more family and friends to speak with the police so you have some back up. You mentioned that her family has observed some of these behaviors right?

someone I knew did this. It wasn't mental. It was heroin.

She needs a prescribing psychiatrist rather than therapy in the long run.

More accurately, it was drug induced psychosis.

I've been around plenty of drug addicts, and I'm not saying that's the case here, but the symptoms are the same.

Her younger sister (not the bipolar one) and I talk on the regular now- she definitely sees all this - that’s helped settle down my mother in law. My wife has been telling them about the situation but telling them that I’m lying…and her younger sister gets combative and says, 850SaintsGators is telling me the exact same stories that you are but the only difference is that he is owning his mistakes but you aren’t

Thank you for the clarification. It went on for quite sometime (6 months to a year) because no one suspected drugs.

Eta- really good friend of mine and everyone suspected mental illness as well. The truth was shocking.
