Does anyone know them well enough to propose investing a little in the future of the children? Something like a Roth? Even if only $1k, it’s something that will be there for them. I was thinking a 529 plan but probably not best option.

I surely don’t. I do think the deceased’s brother and her aunt will do the right thing for the kids.

I believe the youngest is 13. The other two children are 16 and 22.
