So you are saying it is worth the drive then?
Yeah, it's the best vet pharmacy and it's all really cheap.
Cheapest vet around as well.

I've tried the "full stomach" thing and the "make them rest after they take it" thing, and both of those together. It just isn't worth it to keep giving it to him. He's clearly unhappy and uncomfortable, and I don't like cleaning up the throw-up.

Then your dog is one of 10% who won't tolerate it
Smart move taking him off it
And just FYI for OP the price of Comfortis will be within $5 per box at 99% of vet hospitals or online pharmacies
That's a fact
I still think girl OP spoke to made a mistake or the practice she works for will be going out of business soon

Out of respect for their privacy, I won't call them out. I'll double check when I go back in person, but for now, I'm going to look online or local in Greenwell Springs.

That is a respectful move
If you get same girl have her double check w someone else
Front desk makes mistakes and vets appreciate their clientele help correct those kinds of things

Just found Comfortis online for $55.95 (under 10 lbs.) and $56.95 (10.1 to 20 lbs.) for 6 month supply .
Pet-I-Supply dot com
Not bad, especially when compared to what I was previously quoted.

It's $90 on pet meds
The price you listed it for is less than we buy it for at cost and we are a large volume vet hospital
So jump on it just make sure the place seems reputable
There is counterfeit product available online but sometimes ridiculous deals occur due to inventory surplus

Looks like the site that I listed is located in Australia. I ordered from them. Price came out in USD.
We'll see ...
Total was $116.68 with shipping for 2 - 6 packs.

Trifexis has been given to my dog for the past 3 or 4 years and he hasn't had any problems

frontline
Seems like I remember something about Frontline no longer being effective against the fleas in the south. They were immune to it or something. Or maybe that was Program.
Do they still dip dogs? I can remember before the advent of topical monthly things... taking the dog to be dipped and getting a program injection at the vet about once a month, along with the daily heartworm tablets.

Did it say how long you should expect to receive?

That's way to much for 6 month supply. Maybe they quoted you a year. We sell 6 month box for 95.

No. Standard shipping was only $3.99, so I expect it will take at least 10 to 14 days to get to me.
Hope I am wrong and it gets here sooner.

use trifexis and get flea and heart worm in one pill
Did not know this.
trifexis is good if your dog will take it. My dogs hated it, even after I cut it up into tiny pieces and put it in some bread or cheese. So I just switched back to heartgard for heartworms and the liquid for fleas and ticks

Check East Ascension Veterinarian, Dr Breaux in Gonzales. I had all my animals treated there. Good prices/good vet if you don't mind going in and waiting. They don't do appointments, just walk ins!
