That's good news.
So what is going to really happen in places where the state governors are opening things up and some of the loony mayors, etc are wanting to extend the shutdown?
I know Nola is one for sure and it's sounding like Dallas is another. I'm sure there are plenty of other examples.

I would say no federal or state aid for any city or county that extend the lockdown. If they want to commit economic suicide it is on them.

Absent a sudden second wave, I can't imagine the holdouts will be holdouts for more than a couple of weeks, especially if more places gradually open back up with minimal problems.

Yep, even though it’s not in any way planned, states/cities opening up at different times/phases should be helpful. Doesn’t exactly establish a control group but at least let’s everybody see pros/cons of different approaches and adjust accordingly.
Also let’s the harder hit places sit back and see how it goes, learn from others successes/failures

Doubt it. Most of the seasonal employees have gone home. All the Epic resorts have officially closed for the season except Breck which has a May 15 close date. I think A Basin said they may reopen. If Breck does reopen, my hope would be just one main lift up to the bowl lifts or even make people hike to the bowl lifts. No dining facilities etc. The snow has still be coming down in steady amounts.
The mountain towns have been very vocal about wanting outsiders to stay away to not overwhelm limited resources.

It's going to be an interesting dynamic to see of a ton of people flood to certain states are are opening full bore to get out of their state for some vacation time.
I just checked some of the places I like on the beaches in Alabama and Florida for mid May and the prices were pretty high.

Yep, I live in Denver and the local stay at home is currently through April 30th. This is gonna be a shitshow with mayors trying to go against the state orders.

Nola is dead, she will hold out as long as possible for sweet federal fundies, maybe skim a little off the top. In the end though, the city is fricked as usual.

Yep. Not going to be a federal gravy train for NOLA this time. Chapter 9 may be in its future. The city has no one to blame but itself.
