Yep. we've been hunting around Dolores for a few years and the locals there aren't happy about it. Telluride voted for wolves which doesn't surprise me. Apparently wolves were only going to be released in areas or units where they voted yes too. That irked some residents who didn't realize the wolves will be much closer to their homes.

They'll promise that they'll let people regulate the numbers and as soon as it's time to keep the numbers on wolves in check "YOU CANT KILL THE WOLVES!1!1!!!!"

Farmers are going to hate this

I guarantee people voted yes to the wolves because of that dumb video going around on social media about how introducing 14 wolves into Yellowstone completely changed the ecosystem for the better.

legalizing psychedelics

Our dumb politicians will legalize actual harmful stuff like gambling and alcohol in this state but no way we get useful stuff like psychedelics.

That is a little weird about the wine, here in Georgia we've been able to buy wine in the grocery store for as long as I can remember. I wonder what is driving that over there?

You'll probably never see them while you're camping. We have a shitload of wolves here, they're the stealthiest of critters. The only ones I've seen in the "wild" were in a neighborhood or from a helicopter, or Romeo.

Romeo was famous. Lone wolf, his mate died and he hung out on the lake in front of the Mendenhall Glacier for many winters. Played with people and pets.

Romeo

Black bears will still be the predominant camp pest.

I could easily argue both weed and psychedelics are safer than alcohol.

Just add it to the list of a hundred things you piss your pants about on a daily basis. I sure hope they aren't Russian wolves.

IDK, voted yes for the booze in stores and was shocked it didnt pass. The shrooms thing just decriminalizes it statewide and will set up a framework for a medicinal shrooms.

Same same. Kinda pissed the new liquor law didn’t pass

I know a state that probably needs to start reintroducing Siberian Huskies since it’s residents don’t know the difference

I guess I could sort of see why not wanting liquor sold, mostly for the liquor stores, but not selling wine if you sell beer is odd to me.

Wolves will decimate the elk population

Decimate means to cull one out of every 10, so doesn't sound like such a bad thing. Elk aren;t just gonna stand around and get eaten. They're equipped to survive most wolf attacks, they'll be mostly subject to culling the weak the sick and the old.
