College students demanding protection from certain words

“I’m a Liberal Professor, and My Liberal Students Terrify Me"
.A number of popular comedians including Chris Rock, have stopped performing on college campuses (see Caitlin Flanagan’s article in this month’s issue). Jerry Seinfeld and Bill Maher have publicly condemned the oversensitivity of college students, saying too many of them can’t take a joke.

The pussification of our country continues.

I'm convinced my generation is going to destroy this country. College students are fricking retarded when it comes to common sense.
Calm down. This has been the case since universities existed.

You are worse than these college cry-babies.

College students haven't done shite to demand anything.

This is why the left will rule the white house for the rest of existence. There are so many voting people that think like this.

Way to promote physical violence. Thuggish behavior.

Half will grow out of it. The other half will work in some social service job or academia that coddles their weak minds.

How long until failing grades trigger anxiety, and are no longer allowed?
Posted on 8/25/15 at 12:56 pm to RogerTheShrubber
That will never happen.

Too many people raised by weak parents. Their parents haven't taught them about the real world and not being a sensitive child. These are my peers too, and I can't stand it

But you have to admit that the participation trophy was cool

Standards based grading. Trend around the country in elementary and middle schools and some high schools. Eliminate grading by letters and numbers and instead have "standards" of learning that students are supposed to meet, then classifying them as something like "emerging, developing, or applying". Easy way to soften the blow that your kid is stupid. Also trying to eliminate grading effected by conduct. As in, if a student turns in homework late, they dont lose any points, despite missing the deadline. Same thing for students who misbehave in class or skip school frequently
