Here is what is happened.

Retail businesses shut down and coin transactions shut down with them. Coin didn’t get deposited back to the FED by the banks thus the shortage started. The Mint is working extra shifts but cannot meet demand as retail is opening back.

This will likely last for months in regions.

Banks are not getting their orders completely, or at all, filled for coins by the Federal Reserve.

"we" dont, idiot store managers decided that coins are dirty so they only get deposited at the bank and not reused. only fresh coins from the bank can be given out to customers.

they are beyond too stupid to understand that banks dump them in the hoppers and hand the same exact dirty coins right back to them that they think are somehow magically cleaned because they went through the bank
