The pythons will make short work of it.

I knew a lady who had a pet python. She was so excited when it would sleep with her because she said it would stretch out real long and lay next to her in the bed. Then some a-hole ruined it and told her that she needed to get rid of that snake immediately. It was apparently measuring her to see if it could fit her in it's belly.

no you didn't. Pythons will do that though

A search is underway to find the snake? How in the hell do you search for a snake?

That's a little too close for comfort. I'm gonna go ahead and shelter in place.

There are experts that do this. I think snakes that escape tend to find the first good hiding spot, usually in the same building/structure, and stay there until they are disturbed or need to hunt for food. Presumably it's been fed regularly, so (hopefully) it won't need to venture out to hunt for a while.

The central part of Florida is the trashiest place on earth. It starts at Lake City and runs south until you hit a big swamp. The coastal part of the state is quite nice.

All the poor trash live inland where it's cheap.

That's been tried before and you still end up with Georgia. Just saying.

It concerns me (a little... in the back of my mind...) that this same python problem could easily happen in the Louisiana swamps.

Serious question:

What good reason is there for there to be a GD cobra in a residential neighborhood in some tool's house? And this evidently isn't the first time a cobra has escaped from this same guy...

ETA: not the same guy. But seriously. So dumb.
