Most of the time I’ve seen it be used is by Asians

Again, the most misused term ever.
Its
Not
Racist.

Who's suggesting the font is/was used to make fun of Asians and not simply to make a name or word more quickly associated with China/Japan?
Where are all the Asians complaining about this issue?
As usual, it appears the people most concerned about this "issue" are white people.

Weird, because I see it all of the time on Asian owned restaurants. I didn't really know until now that some people are racist against themselves

No, it’s about the death by 1000 cuts. It’s just another chink in the armor being pried out. Little by little it’s being eroded away and the whole time your ilk is telling us “oh don’t be a bigot it’s just this one little thing.
Just One Little Drop
Then We’ll Stop.”
But it’s never enough.
And somehow it’s fine to jokingly mock EVERY EUROPEAN ACCENT. Or Canadians. Or any number of white American dialects...
But all of a sudden it’s a Capitol offense to pronounce broken English.
I say, “flick you Amelican pigdog!”

Dumb reply. Because, clearly, I was in no manner complaining about stereotyping of whites but pointing out the inconsistency of CNN and others who condemn racial stereotyping of “people of color”.
I don’t care if whites are ridiculed.

Excuse me?
If you think a font is racist, you absolutely have no fricking spine.
Who is calling this racist and feeling oppressed?

No one of consequence, and certainly not some huge movement within the Asian community.
As usual, this is white people getting worked up on behalf of group they feel can't take care of themselves so they start knighting for them in an incredibly paternalistic way.
This is akin to The Redskins having to change the name of the team despite the vast majority of American Indians having no issues with it at all. Even so, white do-gooders complained for YEARS attempting to gin up a name change, only to get their way during "The Summer of Everything Getting fricking Changed."

Your word choice of “can’t” is telling.
Not “shouldn’t”. Not “might want to avoid”.
All it took was one CNN article and you went to “cannot”.

This feels like a fantastic hidden camera video where someone dresses up like your typical lefty and goes into Asian owned businesses that are using an Asian style font and tell them that they need to alter it because it's racist to Asians.
Or better yet, don't dress up and fake it...simply Tweet it out to some activist and before you know it we'll have 25 purple haired lunatic girls doing this for us, and filming their idiocy.

I’ve never used that font in my life.

You can’t use that word, you can’t say that, you can’t wear that wig, you can’t do that dance, you can’t you can’t you can’t. And if you do we will bring harm to you and your family.
What happened to the whole “be free to do as you please” theme of 1960’s Liberalism?
They denounced Christians as seeking to tell others what they can and cannot do. And now they are telling us daily what we can and cannot do.

As long as the fonts end in “a” and not “er” it’s cool.
