Not only have they been flying over Louisiana industrial facilities for over a year and a half, my company has been contracting for such drone flights for at least 5 years. We review and process drone data for inspection, laser scanning, thermal imaging, and photogemetry.
Very soon, there will be regularly scheduled (weekly) flights over some facilities. The data will be used to monitor assets that normally only get inspected during turnarounds and the like.
