I saw so much pitched after the flood. Gutting a friends house I found his cast iron Dutch oven at the street. I put in my truck, took home, burned it, cleaned and reseasoned. I just gave it back to him as he just moved back in.

After seeing that I started looking for cast iron by the street and found 9 pieces at various houses. I noted which was found where, took them home and did the same then dropped back off to those houses. Who knows they may have thrown them away again but there was nothing wrong and I think people may have just been overwhelmed. I hope someone is making a big gumbo in one with this weather.

The grill was outside so it should be okay. Run it through some heat and clean it.

If it was inside I'd worry because a lot of people's sewer empied out into their house during the flood.
