Clay Travis is trying to make it seem like a bunch of BSS readers are leaving for Outkick the coverage because of all this and Portnoy is basically saying you begged me to buy out your site last year, and you're a phony because you clam up when you see me in real life.
Travis is now trying to shoehorn his way on their Sirius radio show to make himself the story

I gave Barstool a chance for a few months and tired of it. Nothing but Boston/NY sports stuff and the non-sports stuff is not funny. I'm convinced Pres is the biggest douche alive.
The only redeeming quality is PMT. I listen religiously. I'm going to delete the app and just catch PMT on iTunes.

Clay Travis is right about a lot thing but I just don't care to listen to someone complain about SJW and PC-bros all day.
I love PMT but I don't really care most of Barstool. I stummbled onto /r/Barstoll and found the most miserable people on planet earth. Never would have believed that there was group of people that took that site so seriously.
Anyway, the Travis vs Prez thing is a faux Radio war.

The Stoolies are the latter day Stern listeners. Take the site way too seriously. The quality has definitely plunged since the buyout. With the way the internet cycles through flavors of the month, I wouldn't be surprised to see their traffic has cratered this time next year.

Yeah, you don't. Its a parody of sports talk radio/Hot Take TV and how serious and ridiculous it is. Pardon (the Interruption) My (First) Take.
And they do talk about Coach O all the time.
Once you understand what they are doing, why they are doing the segments they do, and understand the humor, it is a hilarious show. I absolutely love it, and its the most popular sports podcast for a reason.
I find time to listen to local sports talk as well most days, but I often laugh because they do all of the things that PMT parodies, but are serious about it.

When did you listen to it? I started in football season and loved it. It has dropped off a bit but I believe it's bc of where we are in the sports calendar. NBA playoff been lackluster and Hockey isn't a big draw. The shows during march madness were good. And I like them covering the triple crown horse races.
But football is where they really shine. They get some really good guest and can get them to talk about stuff without being PC
