Anyone know of a reputable company that does appraisals on old cars? All the companies I've found in the BR area are national companies that I can find very little info on. I found https://www.batonrougeautoappraisers.com/ this company, but the url is misleading. They apparently have sites set up for hundreds of cities. The charge $385 for a certified appraisal and I'm not sure if a) they're legit and b) if that is an ok price.

Is this for insurance reasons or do you want to sell?

That's not a local company or appraiser. They will hire it out to someone who lives here locally.

What's the appraisal for? Insurance? Estate/Inheritance liquidation? What kind of car is it?

To sell. It's not a common model so finding prices hasn't been easy.

I know they aren't local. And I also know they "outsource" the job. Their site says all their appraisers are certified by The American Society of Certified Auto Appraisers. Looking up that societies site, this company is the only one they list for Louisiana.

I think with various guides online and searching a car auction history on the type of car and what they have sold for, you can get a roundabout number.

Only goes back to '92. They do have a section for older vehicles. The problem is I've looked at 5 sites and their "values" have a $12k difference in range for the same level. Being able to get a more accurate number based on the actual car would be nice.

I've only ever found a couple of them online and they were either in terrible shape or completely restored. This one is pretty much all original as far as I know. I'll try and post a pic.

If you're trying to get top dollar for this car, as in it's in great condition, & you're expecting tens of thousands of dollars, you should find an older mopar expert to look over and appraise the car.

I'd get on the mopar message boards and poke around until you find someone.

I'd estimate the value at $24,280.

Here's a link to an imgur gallery that has a few pictures. They aren't great quality but it gives a general idea.

Don't believe so. I think it's the Chrysler B Engine, 383.
