You’re an idiot if you think LP & AP are BFE. Try Lasalle, Grant or Sabine parishes. That’s country. If you’re within 30 mins of Baton Rouge that’s not country. We’re talking legit rural. Hours from a target.

Rednecks generally leave people alone. I'd rather be around them than the pants below their knees crowd all day.

Damon is a cranky soy. He's always wrong. He makes PJ look brilliant.

But yes, I like country folks regardless of race. I get along better with country people that white urban soys.

Me too. My wife grew up in the country as well.

We enjoy some modern conveniences of living near a city but really nothing that a city of 30k doesn't have.

I grew up in the woods of north Louisiana. I could not wait to get the hell out of there and swore I would never live there again. Lived in Los Angeles, Dallas, Atlanta and now BR. I inherited 60 acres of land in said BFE, north Louisiana. Tried to sell it a few years back. Thankfully it fell through. Now I can’t wait to retire and get back there. This world is frikkin nuts and I miss the kindness of country folk.

City because I'm single. Country if I were still a kid or older and had a family. For all the people bitching about crime in a city it really has a .0001% chance of affecting you if you live in a decent area and mind your own business

I left coastal Los Angeles county back to our farm in southeast Oklahoma.

I'm 45 and retired and I can't imagine moving back to the city. My wife has been out of town and will he gone for 120 days. I have realized how old fashioned I am. I smoke a tobacco pipe, wear overalls, make coffee in a non electric percolator, use a straight razor to shave, etc.

Country I can’t wait go retire

Many make this mistake , they retire to the country at the time in their life where they will require more and more medical care, and end up sending huge amounts of time driving to someplace that has the needed medical services. I am 65 and thankful I live minutes from two major medical centers, has already saved my life once.

Terrible. Absolutely terrible. I have no idea why anyone would want to move to the country. Under no circumstances should anyone else move to the country.

It depends on your time of life. For single people, or childless young couples, the city is awesome. For couples with children suburbs tend to be better. For older people, who have been there and done that, the bucolic countryside is great. However, as people age, and require a lot of medical care, the country has obvious limitations. If one has the means, it is possible to have the best of both worlds.

Absolutely, if you live in the city, never, ever ever come to the country, it’s terrible. Stay in the city where it’s safe and full of beautiful diversity, where happy gangs of children roam through the streets, laughing and dancing.

Country / small town living for the relative safety of it.

I wouldn't mind living in the city (especially for the music scene) if it weren't such a shithole of freaks and thugs with no accountability or respect for the law.
