How, generally, does the construction foreman know his inspection to proceed has been signed? Is that a in person, on-site, post inspection type thing? Curious if the construction side could be unaware of the fake inspections, or at least plausibly claim to be.

I was thinking the opposite. How could the contractor not know they didn’t show up? The Odeon is a huge project so I’m not sure everyone knows every other person on site but you’d think someone at the GC would be in charge of complying with permits and inspections. Especially since they’ll have all manner of inspections from the city, architect, manufacturers, Fire Marshall. That’s a lot of people to make sure are signing off many times over the course of a huge project.

It is not uncommon at all to call for an inspection and find out 2-3 days later the inspection passed without ever seeing an inspector in the City of New Orleans.

The inspector here in Baton Rouge gave me all kinds of shite over very minor things for a simple occupational license.

That's because you didn't put enough under the table for the inspection to go in your favor.

Those names. They sound like characters from an instruction video, either that or porn names.

My guess is that the GPS info from the trucks isn’t reliable enough to support firing because it‘s also an inefficient city department.
