Memphis takes a lot of heat but it’s not nearly as awful as Louisiana people want it to be.

I’ve had good times at all 3... many good friends and more good times to be had in Nashville ... May move there or ATL in the next decade due to work.

Memphis is pretty bad. It has to be top 10 worst in the country for what are considered major metros.

Any city in Louisiana, and I was born and raised in Louisiana. New Orleans is an absolute shite hole. Bourbon literally smells like a toilet.

Come again? I don't think it's even higher than 1,000 feet. I know that may be mountainous to you Louisiana folk, but not to most others.

1. NYC -- maybe not on this board but this is one of the most highly rated cities in the history of humanity. Maybe gets second place to Ancient Rome. So I find it hard to believe that NYC is underrated.

2. CA -- Your complaint with Austin is that it is too expensive, and yet you think California is underrated. Yea. OK.

3. Tampa --Basically a retirement colony. No thanks.

Your thread suggests otherwise.

It doesn't matter to me. I didn't even consider it. There are other posters on the site...

Being able to enjoy a beach and mountains in the same state is what most everyone would say is great, regardless of your political or religious beliefs.

The statement was that there are reasons to overpay to live in California. Mountains and a beach don't mean shite to that. Hell, it's not even a rarity.
