Church Restoration Project

Our parish is about to launch a restoration project. About 70 years ago our monsignor modernized the interior and ruined it. He even had a mural of Jesus Christ, St. Henry, and St. Cunegunde painted over.
Our current priest wants it back as close as can be to the way it was originally. Naturally, contributions are being sought and our priest asked if anyone would like to pay for specific items.
I told Father I thought a marble baptismal font would be nice and that I am good for it. He wanted a wooden font so it can be moved around and had the contractor do a computer mock up. I said if that is what he wants then go for it and send me the bill.
Here is what the contractor came up with. It will be hand crafted and solid wood. No particle board or any junk like that. Check it out.

That is a marvelous baptismal font. The circumferential trefoils are subtle and elegant. Of what wood type will its production be? I wish you well in your church's endeavors.

Sounds like a waste of money. 4 walls and some chairs should be good enough. Not catholic churches though.

Would look cool if you put one of those chocolate fountains in it, but replaced it with blood. Also could add a butane extension for fire.
Could even possibly fit in a smoke machine to hide at the bottom. Need 2 of them though for symmetry

Well, thank you very much. Our church is 115 years old and I wanted to donate something that will still be there 115 years from now.
Father told me the wood type, but I forgot what he said. Besides, to me it does not matter. This priest has very good taste and I trust him. I just try to be a good Catholic and do what I am told.
