Or in Vienna, etc. There are local news articles about this every year. Is some travel agency making bank by whisking choirs into famous venues for a couple of songs with no audience?

Yeah because those groups can go on vacation and have a once in a lifetime experience while doing it. Don’t be mad because you have no special talents.
