Some people are allergic to real trees unfortunately

That's just sad. Soon Nov 1st to Jan 1st will be the Christmas season.

Some people have shite to do, my wife and I have been doing the same. With a new baby and probably going to be at the in laws for thanksgiving weekend, we got some of that stuff done early too with our time being limited.
Christmas lights use to be an almost year around deal for me when I did some lights to music displays. Had to start actually putting up the lights as soon as Halloween was over to have everything up and running by weekend after thanksgiving.
I got a feeling the people who complain about this shite don't decorate shite for Christmas and realize the time involved. It just magically appears around the house because other people do the work while their lazy asses sit on a couch and bitch about other people lives.

Why do you care so much what people do within the wall of their own home?

Tree is up
Everything else will be after Thanksgiving

Why does anyone on the OT care about anything anyone else does? Because it's trashy, duh

I was in Tampa a month ago; I went to a low class apartment complex to pick up a bag of weed, and many of the balconies had Christmas lights strewn about.

I used to think "only after Thanksgiving". But the wife wants to have a full day dedicated to decorating and we are going out of town for Thanksgiving and have friends coming into town on the weekend after. And I work nights and she works 8-5 so cant do it during the week. We started pulling out some things today and are going to decorate this weekend...
Dont see why its really a big deal

Some asshat down the street already has their whole yard decorated: lights, inflatables, the whole nine yards of Griswold.
Too soon!

Mine go up after Thanksgiving

I normally decorate the week of Thanksgiving/weekend. but I started decorating today. The tree isn't up and the banisters aren't done. That will happen next weekend. Our work schedules are horrendous for the next few weeks, coupled with out of town for Thanksgiving and we're invited to our first holiday party of the season the Saturday after turkey day. Plus, we're hosting a party the following weekend.

There was a lot in Lakeview to sell trees already being put up the day after Halloween!

Put fall stuff up in the attic and took down Christmas stuff today. Wife is less than a month from having a baby, so she wanted to decorate while she had enough energy. Tree and outside will be later since I handle that mostly.
