Most people on this board know I hate the hypocrisy of shite like that, but as I said, comedians deserve an insane amount of latitude in that department because it absolutely can be funny. You'll notice that comedians like Burr and O'Neal always pull back after going hard in the paint. It's what separates them from the hacks.

Look, all I’m saying is joke or not, I don’t find it particularly funny to joke about a particular race of kids getting shot in the name of equality. That’s just my opinion, I understand some will think it’s funny, I don’t and that’s fine.

Yeah, you should go read about those movements. There is a direct link from those groups to groups that exist right now. I mean, it isn't even hidden. That you can choose what parts you like and what parts you don't like those movements were a buffet is also amazing. The Gay Rights movement was very closely linked with Black Liberation, May 1968, Women's Liberation, and openly anti-capitalist movements. I'm skeptical that you would have either supported their ideology or their methods.

Chris Rock is talking to a largely black audience and playing on their fear that the police are targeting them. He's suggesting the police kill a white kid every so often to cover their tracks. Then he just takes that bit to the extreme with a white mother crying on TV and whatnot.

When you have an entire generation of people basing their worldview and ideology on the words of comedians, no, they don’t deserve an insane amount of latitude any longer. The unspoken understanding of what a comedian is and does is gone.

I partly agree with one concept. I really wish cops would start shooting white dudes doing stupid shite. That would make me feel better about laughing at the community outrage when a black dude with a gun running from the cops is shot.
