China Virus Fatigue (Update)

Can we all admit we have it? It literally infects our lives no matter what (corporate, personal, anecdotal, etc.).
-- "You mean society influences your life, what?! Rona board, baw." -- I would, but I'm still sifting through the pool board.
I deal with by voting, how do you?

I have to say, what prompted me to post this as a long time lurker, is some anecdote from a privileged white folk -- me.
My in-law just canceled seeing my 5 month old, because I'm unvaccinated. We communicated to her I'd mask up and we'd socially distance outside. She asked if the baby would have a mask. Marinate on that for a second or two.

The people I laugh at are the ones who wasted a year or more of their lives hiding in their houses. They aren’t getting that time back and the reaper eventually comes for all of us.

Not getting the point you're trying to make that meme. You want me to believe a grandparent asked if their 5 month old grandchild would be wearing a mask?

I have some health issues that put me in the high-risk category, so I grew extremely tired of it in the beginning. Now I am fully vaccinated, so I no longer consider the virus to be much of a health threat. Pretty much everyone who wants the vaccine is now able to get it, so as far as I am concerned it is not much of a risk to the general population, either.
I think most people are still really hung up on the politics surrounding it all. And since I don’t think politics matters much at all in our daily lives, I am no longer concerned.
