Jesus, you people are retarded.
The sun has MASSSSSSSSSSSSS
It is likely that the temp, if attained, was attained on an atomic particle level scale.

And this thing is 3 times hotter?
You can make an electrical arc in your own house that can exceed 30,000 degrees F (that's a few times hotter than the surface temperature of the Sun).
Christ there are a lot of fricks in this thread that failed grade school physical science...
Here's 4 Trillion degrees.

If you did that, you put it in too early.

they aren't teaching shite like this in grade school.
They teach you the order of planets in our solar system in grade school
That being said, I agree, people are moronically confusing the suns energy due to its mass and temperature combined with just the temperature.

And I haven't had a physics class since 10th grade

I doubt you have 37 million waiting around to buy it anyway?

Their 'Artificial Black Hole' won't be in the news. There won't be time.
Posted on 2/11/16 at 8:54 am to Tigris
There isn't enough mass on the Earth to create a blackhole that would last long enough to be self sustaining.

The Chinese are lying, thieving little shits who lack the mental capacity to do anything but steal technology. We let a few of 'em come over here to work in our space program and they steal everything they can. Note that these are the ones who've managed to do well in school and thus are selected by their government to do this very mission.
I don't fear them since the upper echelon has become wealthy, thus they want to maintain status quo. Their greed far outstrips any Nationalist pride they have and they don't GAS about the starving peasants.

No one in their right mind can believe this. Their economy is in the shitter, they have spent tens of billions developing ghost cities with no one living there, they have the worst smog issue the world has ever seen leading to a national health crisis, and they have a serious population issue with the men outnumbering the women 14 to 1.
Their labor laws lead to manufacturing going over there, but that does not make them better than us. That country is a fricking wreck.

problem that scientists have had since the Industrial Revolution; that of creating more energy from machines than the initial input.
Scientists have had this problem since forever, and the reason why is because it's a fundamental law of science. We look at the sun and think: "hey, that thing just sits there and puts out near infinite amounts of energy, why can't we do that?" forgetting the massive processes and amounts of energy that had to be expended to create the damn thing in the first place.

And yet, we owe them trillions of dollars

Just goes to show how bad they are with their money.
On a serious note, we owe them about $1.43 trillion as of 3/30/2015.
They are the largest foreign owner of our debt, but by no means are they the largest owner overall. The US government actually owes the US about two-thirds (over $12 trillion) of the outstanding debt.

Chinese boffins created the gas in a huge magnetic fusion reactor at the Institute of Physical Science in Hefei.
Are the chinese boffins related to the galactic Bothans?
did many Bothans die to gather this information?

Point being, on a large scale, what could contain the heat needed to be useful amounts.
The heat transfers would eventually melt the iceburg. Not arguing the principle, just asking what would hold the transfer of heat from something so hot.
