Child Support Question

I am going to try to make this as short as possible. A year and some time ago I was engaged. Ended the engagement and literally a week later find out she pregnant. Decided to work things out for the little guy. He's the best thing that ever happened to me btw. Anyone he's 5 months now and we are back to constant arguments. I've paid her bills throughout the pregnancy and up to this day. We aren't married. What are the chances that I can get at least joint custody and what should I expect to pay in child support. For the record I have no issue taking care of my son, I just don't want her living on his child support check.

There is a set formula used to determine child support. Unless you are an unfit father, you will likely easily get joint custody. (Assuming this is in Louisiana)

Step 1: Make sure he's yours.

I see approximatley* 17 years and 7 months of payments in your future.

Been there and done that. Child support is based on yours and her earnings.
Write the check. You have no control over how she spends it. If you can afford the biggest a-hole for an attorney, you will probably get joint custody at best. The court still tends to side with the mom for custodial parent. If you want to fight it then make sure you have a big bank account and then don't count on winning.
Good luck, be the best Dad you can be, and never dog the other parent. The kid doesn't deserve to be involved in all that shite and they don't know what to do with it anyway.
My ex did that crap and it came to roost on her 15 years later

Google Louisiana child support table and Louisiana child support work sheet.

Really depends on location and what he can afford.

Pretty fricking good if you're not a frick up. Google "Child support calculator" with your state. It's based on your income.
