I'm very fortunate to have many very close female friends. We would do anything for one another. It's not that hard for women to find friends who aren't catty bitches if they aren't catty bitches themselves.

I'm not directing this at women who have male and female friends. I have both, and that is healthy. But categorically writing off female friends is dumb.

I have two who are happily married. I have no expectation of being more than friends with either of them. One wouldn't even be a good personality match for dating.

I have long had more girl platonic friends than number of friends who are guys.

I've dated two chicks like this in the past when I was younger. All guy friends, her excuse was she hated the drama with other chicks. Trust me, it's a red flag.
