Another shot at religion - take away the respect and honor that Chick was giving it. No surprise at all

Exactly. Politicians wasting their time with crappy legislation. If it passes CFA will just get out of there. Our parent company left NY due to crappy business practices and more should as well. This legislation will not pass though

this is what they get for bending the gay knee

Yes they decided. They decided to award CFA space at 10 of the thruway locations. They decided to only require one food vendor to be open per location. They knew CFAs business model prior to awarding the contract and decided that it would work at those locations. As always with the left, the goalposts moving thing has begun.

So, in other words, even with CfA closing on Sunday, these rest stops will still comply with the law.
I don't think that's what it's saying. It says that right now, Chick-fil-A's closure on Sunday works with the terms of their lease. The law basically says frick the lease, we want everything opened 7 days a week.

Random legislators propose wackjob legislation in every state that never sees the light of day.
You keep saying "random legislator".
This isn't a random legislator. He is on record against Chick Fil A because of their pro-christianity principles (i.e. the legislator is gay).
Chick fil a = bad company in his mind and he is using his position in government to take punitive action against the business.

I’m for Chickfila keeping their business model. But, like a lot of businesses including healthcare (which is basically already run by the government), when you get in business with the government, you give them control and are at the whim of whatever they say. I hope Chikfila tells them to fk off even if it means losing those locations.

Sounds like someone is paying these legislators to make this bill in order for those spots to come open and to be filled with the company that is paying off the legislators.
This plus progs hate CFA anyway. This has nothing to do with getting a chicken sandwich on Sunday.

Not going to happen. Liberalism is a mental disorder.

The government should not be involved in telling private businesses what there hours and days should be. We have several places that are closed during the week. Are they going to tell them they have to open during the week?
Posted on 12/20/23 at 10:23 am to BFANLC
Make it randomly open from 12am to 4am on Sun for 1 min but... That's petty so they will just challenge the legality ( the best route)

Why stop at Sundays? Why not force Chik-Fil-A to stay open 24/7?
why not force McDonalds to keep their fricking shake machines up and running past 7 PM?
In fact, why not compel every restaurant to always be open and face fines if anything on the menu is ever not available?

Wtf kind of bs is this. The government has no right to force any private business to do anything. Doesn't the fn government have better shite to do that regulate a private company's hours?
Nobody's being forced to do anything...the property owner is contemplating a change in lease terms which would require anyone leasing space to be open 7 days a week in response to taxpayer's complaints. Chick Fil A will have the option of closing or complying with the property owners new terms.
I'll bet that almost no one here knows WHY Chick Fil A is closed on Sundays. It ain't so employees can be home with their families as they claim...it so employees, and especially contractor employees, can do maintenance and clean them up. Always has been that way. I have sat in meetings in their corporate offices and heard this directly from the horses mouth. It became such a trope that it was so their workers could be home with their families that the good will earned from the public is fare more important than the time required to keep them clean and maintained but there is almost ALWAYS a crew of someone doing something inside a location on Sundays.

Well I for one will be writing my congressman to tell him if the federal government has the authority to tall a business what hours of operation that must adhere to then that same federal government better damn well force McDonalds to fix their fing ice-cream machines.

Chick-fil-A is open in the Atlanta butthole dome for Falcons games on Sunday
Sure is. At one time the airport locations were also because the lease agreement required it. There was such a uproar from the public thinking that the airport commission was "forcing" chick fil a to be open on Sunday that the commission granted them and all tenants a waiver of lease terms requiring Sunday openings. Chick Fil A was not opposed to being open, they gladly did and in fact continued for about 2 years after being granted a waiver.
