That is one thing many have demanded. Still, too many can watch all that video, yet ignore what they see in favor of feelings and emotions.

The key word there is emotions. When you base decisions on emotions instead of logic you really are on a low end of the intelligence perspective. Thus why we see emotions leading to riots and looting from people screaming white systemic power structure. That is not the case, I can feel like a system is set up against me based upon my skin tone or gender. But if I look at it logically I realize that the system is set up to handle actions in a logical manner and if my actions contribute to escalating the situation then the fault lies on me!

So armchair QB, do you think that the officer or you could identify in under 1 second that the weapon is empty with the slide locked to the rear in a dimly lit alley at 2:30AM after a shooting and chase? If you can clearly witness this and make that determination we need to clone your brain matter and implant to in every LEO in the nation.

you are missing my point. i'm saying he likely just emptied the whole mag at the cops and had an 'oh shite' moment when he was out of ammo so he dropped it and tried to act like he was giving up.

reread what i said closer

he threw the gun down only because he had no more bullets.

Okay, I thought you were arguing the points Salmon et al where. They were basing all their decisions off of emotions from a still shot photo the media provided. Key word being emotions...

No. I was not basing my decision off of "emotions" or a still shot.

I watched the video that was initially released and based my opinion upon that. Never once did I get "emotional" concerning my opinion though. Unlike a lot of posters in this thread, I never once called anyone names or attacked anyone for a different point of view.

Once I saw another angle and realized that the kid reached for the gun in his back, I changed my stance, as I had originally thought he was carrying the gun in his hand.

That is a seemingly minor detail, but it changes his movements from passive to aggressive. That is when I changed my opinion to side more with the cop.

Regardless if you realize it or not basing any immediate reaction off of MSM narratives is emotional. They gear everything on click bait to play on ones emotions. Give you a case in point. I watched the video released by the MSM (think maybe CBS) and said “self there has to be more to this story....where is the uncut video”. So I searched for the uncut video and didn’t make any comments. I watched the uncut video 3 times and said would I stand behind my Marine if he was in this situation. Conclusion I came to yes, I would stand behind and defend him because the video in real time showed one could reasonably conclude his immediate safety was potentially threatened. Case closed! Lessons learned, no knee jerk EMOTIONAL reaction off of MSM cut video because they have an agenda (which is so blatantly obvious in this situation) and do your own research!

That’s a huge point. I suppose there’s no way to prove that that’s the true reason he threw it as opposed to just trying to get rid of it, but that’s relevant enough to consider.

except I didn't read nor consume any "MSM narrative"

I watched the cops bodycam video

and as soon as I saw more pertinent information, I updated my opinion

that is the complete opposite of an "emotional" reaction

an emotional reaction would have been screaming "MURDER" immediately after watching the video

hell one could argue that the fact that you immediately assumed there was more to the story is an "emotional" reaction

Leftist losers tend to be emotional. It’s a side effect of soy and estrogen

I refuse to read the MSM. or any news.

I pick it up passively here or on the web.

But I too thought the cop was jumpy at first just based on the video. it wasn't until stills came out that I changed my mind.

Imagine having to make that decision in real time.
