tough spot for the cop

agree. But most cops would have showed a little more restraint.

For years we've been saying how "hands up don't shoot" was a false narrative (because it was) and now that someone actually had their hands up, they're saying "well why did he put them up like that"

You need a permit and license, there's a waiting period and background checks, but you can conceal and vehicle carry.

Far stricter than most cities or states.

Vehicle carry is a separate permit. All of these permits have to be approved after passing a 16 hour long gun course.

Are you arguing that most gun owners in Chicago have done everything required for ownership?

That’s well into :39. In less than half a second later he turns with and raises his hands.

I feel for the poor kid. Just a pawn. Adult influence will be ignored though.

Low IQ frickers.

That was a joke, calm down.

It was a bad shoot though. Kid listened to orders, had his hands up with no gun, and cop killed him. Cop likely didn't want to murder him when he started his day, but he fricked up badly.

I'm just going to guess 80% of Chicago homicides are by people with illegal firearms.

When he turns he definitely puts his right hand into his front hoodie pocket before putting it up.

It was a quick shot from the officer either way, but the kid wasn’t completely in the clear with his “hands up”

Is this kid black? I’ve been waiting for police reform to be a non race issue (as it should be). Black Lives Matter hijacked any actual discussion we could have on needed militarization of police reform by pushing a “hUnTiNg bLaCk pEoPlE” narrative instead of the actual issue

the kids age is irrelevant because cop wouldn’t know it. this kids parents, grandparents, siblings, aunts, uncles etc all fricking failed him either way. no one cares about this kids in Chicago, just sad. If this same kid was involved in a drive by it would barely be a news blip

Not at all.

I'm simply pointing out that Chicago is not a "gun free" city, or one where guns are illegal.

Rioting is a different story and sadly I’m sure it’ll come to that but the weird party line of “why are they upset about police killings and not murders from criminals” doesn’t make any sense.

I didn’t say protest. I said riot.

frick it, until I see some accountability from the criminal contingent of our population, I will just not give a frick about this shite

amen

regardless of if the cop deserves punishment, this kids entire family/support system/community failed him.
