Got damn! I'm grateful for the OT tonight. I am flipping the frick out over here thinking I was going to have to face a termite infestation's costs. So this is normal?

This is my first year in the house I'm in, so I am not sure. They were terrible and seemed to come out of nowhere. I can't sleep now as I feel like they are all over me.

I just finished building a house and I'm actually finding a few indide. Are they in "eat all your shite" mode, or just "fly around all over the fricking place" mode?

They're swarming because they're ready to mate.

They're attracted to lights so try to keep your outdoor lights at a minimum, or even your indoor lights, i.e. rooms you're not in with lights on, etc.

I didn't notice any last night but I found 5 in my house this evening. Scooped them up and fed them to the fish in my aquarium. The fish love that!

Sorry, I don't have a termite problem homie

I treat my lawn. I'm no peasant. I'm no baller, like the rest of yas, either. I'm just smart, I guess.

Just met the exterminator yesterday and signed a contract for treatment. Noticed tunnels last weekend. First time in 20 years I have seen them.
Then they were swarming like crazy last night. Swarmers do no damage, just want to mate and make other to do damage.

One of my smoke detectors went off at 10:00 last night. The culprit was a couple of termites that crawled inside it. Freaked the kids out, so they had trouble going back to sleep.

I'm so protected not only with complete termite insurance, but having my house checked and sprayed often with a pest control service. We did have a black ant problem on the chimney recently, but that was fixed. About once every 3 or 4 weeks, I'll spray the outside of the house with lemon pine sol..roaches hate lemon pine sol.

It seems like the parishes would do some sort of abatement program and crop dust these frickers a few nights a year during swarms. I'd be OK with a little DDT. Perhaps they do and I just don't know about it.
