Not saying that, because y'all make it happen. But I am working on 4 generations (in laws and mine) that judge and not a single one is male.

People think I'm being a troll or cheap or something, but there is a reason why suicides and other pathological behavior/reactions increase dramatically around Christmas

A major key to living a happier life is living a simpler life. The entirety of the concept of Christmas has evolved into this super complex event that lasts approximately 3x as long as when I was a kid. Add in social media and the corresponding pressure and Christmas is borderline terrible in modern America.



Yep, there was a big get together back at my parents home in Louisiana. The dinner and preparations are similar to what OP described. That's exhausting to be around, especially since I'm a classic introvert.

People have a hard time understanding how I could be much happier in my apartment here with my dogs, but I am, just waiting for everything to open back up in the city so that I can get on with my daily routine.
