Check in here if you stop at a flashing yellow traffic signal.

The people who treat a round about like a 4 way/3 way stop!

Stopping at those are optional, just like stop signs with white around them (see below).

I do when there's other cars around. Safety first. You wouldn't believe how many accidents I've almost gotten into at flashing yellow lights.

The people who treat roundabouts like a flashing yellow light are way more dangerous, though.

Oh. You don't act in the proper manner at traffic control devices and you almost get into a lot of accidents at them?!

I often use an intersection where a 4-lane and a 2-lane meet. For some unknown reason the road design left some corners at less than 90-degrees, some more than 90. High traffic area. You wouldn't believe some of the stunt driving that goes on there.

Maybe the land owners wouldnt give premission to have 90 degree intersection.

I don't care. I know the law, but I don't trust other people to know it. I will take my foot off the gas, hover it over the brake, and make sure no idiot is running their flashing red first then put my foot back on the gas

But... that's actually FINE. That's not yielding. That is carefully proceeding through the intersection. Yielding would be you slowing or coming to a stop to intentionally give the other traffic stream right of way. Preparing to stop hard if you have to because one of them runs their blinking red is just being prepared for a hazard and is exactly what the blinking yellow is warning you to do.

No punch in the face for you.

This time.

When a storm comes through and a 4-way intersection traffic light that normally works fine is blinking yellow and perpendicular to it is blinking red, i hate when people traveling tthrough the blinking yellow and treat it as a stop sign...
Before you fools say you're supposed to treat it as a 4-way stop sign in that situation, you're wrong. You only do that when the light isn't working at all.

I had a police officer tell me once that he issues more DWI at flashing yellow lights than anywhere else...drunks think the light is about to turn red and fall asleep while there.
