I dont need unlimited data. I rarely use more than 1 GB, 99% of the time I am somewhere with wifi.

Im seeing Sprint for $40 a month. Whats cheaper?

I have an unlimited plan with Sprint, 4 lines and pay $100.00 per month or $25.00 per line, plus fees and taxes.

You may be able to find something like that with them?

Google project fi is $20 for unlimited call/text + $10 per GB of data. You just pay for what you use each month so if you only use 1 GB they only charge $30. I usually end up at either $40-50 each month.

Only catch is you need a fi compatible phone.

it is project Fi.

2GB plan will be 40 bucks

20 for the phone service 10/GB there after. you pay the 40 up front. say you only use 1.5 GBs that month the next months bill will be credited 5 bucks for the 1/2 GB you didnt use.

Cricket is $35 for 4GB if you turn on auto pay. It's owned by AT&T and uses their network.

well nothing is really good in the sticks. but if you have wifi there is wifi calling and it seamlessly switches between the 2. Out in bumfrick texas when im visiting my inlaws, i dont have great service outside and can be on the phone and it isnt clear. when i walk inside and get on their internet it is crystal clear.

Check out the tracfones at HSN or QVC. For about a $100 you can have a smartphone that lasts all year. I actually buy a new one every year. Away from wifi, I use Waze about four times a week, listen to Pandora a few times a week and occasionally use Google. With that amount of use I used 1 GB over the last six months. And it costs only $10 to add 1 GB more data, which you can pay for through the phone in under one minute.

Right now I'm using the LG Premier TracFone 5.3". The only complaint I have with it is that it has no missed call indicator light. But you can get an app for that.

Straight Talk has unlimited for $35 with 2 GB being fast, and the rest of the data being throttled.

One of my buddies has this, but got a new number when he got it. Can you keep your current number? This is something I've looked into, but I can't get a new number.
