Been using the Costco brand for big dogs for over 10 years with 3 different goldens…zero problems $35 for a giant bag…not sure if it’s 40 or 50lbs

Wellness Core is a good brand but it's expensive. You get what you pay for with dog/cat food. A good store brand that's probably a B grade food is Kirkland Signature generally speaking. Cheap and decent quality. If you want high end food though, you have to pay for it. Don't feed cats hard food it will ravage their kidneys when they get older. They need high amounts of water in their food as natural predators.

Wellness Core is my favorite brand personally even though it's expensive. Even their grain free is smart enough to put high taurine in the food so it doesn't cause heart inflammation which is a risk with grain free. I don't think there's a such thing as high-quality cheap food from any brand.

Probably best value for the dollar is something like Kirkland Signature but it's not a high-quality food.
